Intro!

This is the online community of Christian Expeditionary Force, a WoW Christian Guild. We are Christian gaming "clan/guild" centered in World of Warcraft (US Nordrassil realm) formerly with chapters in Guild Wars and Battlefield 2.

CEF is a very unique guild with a very unique purpose. Our primary mission is to provide an atmosphere safe for Christian families to play, interact, and socialize. Secondary to this mission, is a drive to excel as best as we can in World of Warcraft.  We want to be the best we can be while at the same time not losing sight of the fact that we are human beings, and human beings are more important than a game.

We're what we refer to as a "fellowship" guild (think social guild, but deeper than that).  We want to get to know you as a person.  For us, that is how we want to spend our time playing the game.  We want to develop relationships with other people who hold our same values.

Our goal is to create an atmosphere that is fun and safe for everyone.  We don't tolerate any sort of profanity or lewd discussions.  We not only expect, but demand politeness and common courtesy from all our members. We are a Christian ran and oriented group. Although membership is not exclusive to our faith, we expect you to respect us, our faith, our God, and our rules. We are not a debate tank. Jesus Christ is Lord of this clan.

World of Warcraft

You'll find most of our active members playing either in our alliance guild <IXOYE> or the Horde counterpart <All Who Are Weary> on the United States Nordrassil Realm in the US Emberstorm Battlegroup.

Our primary emphasis in-game now is preparing for end-game content. We have multiple players close to or well beyond geared for 10 man content. Members run heroics on a nearly daily basis. PvP is also an interest, but organized pvp right now is on the back burner as most of our members favor PvE.

Over the past few months we've seen unparalleled growth. As our numbers have nearly trippled. Although still humble in size, we are very, very close to being able to run 10 man content.

Christian Expeditionary Force is going on its third year of existence. We're no spring chicken. We're established. We're looking to continue God's mission for us.

Some More Naxx

Congratulations to Luctar (Seth) on reaching level 80!  And congratulations on your first Naxx runs :)

Speaking of Naxx we had some rather decent progress this week.  We cleared Arachnid, Plague, and Construct Quarters this week.  Due to some conflicts we had a difficult time forming raids. Had we gotten one more in we're sure we could have cleared Military and possibly KT and Saph.

Focus

We've been changing our in-game focus from general play to raiding. Now to say we're a raiding guild. We're not. We're a Christian guild that revolves around friendships.  But a lot of us have hit the level cap and desire to take on a challenge. Its really an awesome thrill and exciting adventure.  If you're looking to casually raid then by all means...sign up. Our slow progress really isn't due to lack of skill, but lack of players. We can manage about 5 guildies every night.

We had lot of fun and almost accomplished the [Safety Dance] achievement. But unfortunatetly one of us slipped and was thoroughly slimed. Still a great accomplishment. Coming in and one shotting (for this clear) Heigan with only one death. The only one we had real trouble tonight was Gluth. But after rearranging the party we got it.

Time of Plenty

After a long time of faminine Christian Expeditionary Force is being brought into a time of plenty. A time of celebration. To begin with our expanding fellowship. Although numbers are not everything, have a broader range of people to get to know and play with has been a long time goal. Over the past month we've added nearly 10 new players to our guild.

On May 30th, my mom (Carol) and I (Matthew) witnessed the marriage of Adam (Moose) to his new wife Sarah.  We had a great time of getting to know each other in person.  Adam has been my best friend for years and to actually get to hang out with him in person was a great blessing.  It was also was a "joy with tears" moment seeing my friend finally take hold of his dream.  We can't wait for Adam to get back with us.

On the way home from Nebrask we stopped in Wisconsin to visit Brian (Zornin). Another one of our officers. We spent about a day and a half with Brian. Playing guitar hero and my mom teaching him some knitting.  Had pizza.  Watched a movie. Talked and prayed together. It was a blessing, and i do mean blessing.
