Christian Expeditionary Force is a Christian fellowship guild concentrated in the MMORPG World of Warcraft (WoW).  Our Alliance guild, IXOYE is located on  the US Realm of Medivh.  Our Horde guild, All Who Are Weary, is on US Nordrassil but considered "inactive". Our focus is IXOYE with AWAW as a place for those who wish to experience Horde and still remain within the clan.

Uniquely, we are primarily focused on fellowship.  The dictionary defines "fellowship" as "company; companionship" and "community of interest, activity, feeling, or experience".  The point of Christian Expeditionary Force is to create a group of friends who wish to experience the game together.  We make no promise or attempt to substitute our guild as a church.  Nor do we attempt to compete in hardcore raiding progression.  We enjoy the game together as people who share an interest and love in the Lord Jesus Christ.

We are solidly and unwaveringly founded upon our faith in Jesus Christ.  For a quick summary of our beliefs take a look at the Nicene Creed. We acknowledge the authority of Scripture (the Bible).  We acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of our lives.  Our guild is best described as "interdenominational".  Even within our leadership we have varying denominations (Lutheran, Assemblies, Charismatic). Our guild is made up of even more!

As a guild we also believe it is very important to distinguish ourselves apart from a church.  Although we may as friends minister, pray, and disciple each other. We realize we are only a guild and only a group of friends.  We may have Bible studies from time to time, but we feel this responsibility is more appropriately left in the hands of churches and in physical environment where accountability can be more reliably kept (both for the teacher and the student).  Read More...

We are not a raiding guild. However, we are a guild that raids.  That distinction is important.  Raiding is not our purpose.  Our purpose is to have fun together in an atmosphere that glorifies God.  However, we are a guild inside a computer game.  We play to be challenged and raiding is a great way for all of us to play together and continue to improve our game play.

Raid Schedule
Friday 5pm-8pm
Saturday 5pm-8pn
It should be noted that all raid times are tenative and that we may cancel or add raids throughout the week as players are available. This may make it difficult for  those who have strict schedules, but for most of our guild schedules are always conflicting.  We tend to raid when the opportunity arises even if it isn't on the schedule. <IXOYE>'s transfer to Medivh has gone very well. Almost all of our guildies from Nordrassil have been able to either transfer a character or create a new one.  Although its been a burden to pay for numerous transfers, its slowly happening.

Medivh has been great. Pretty much everything we had hoped it to be. We're actually able to get into raids on a regular basis as a guild and as individuals. Plenty of experienced and skilled players who are looking for more or looking for a group to run on content for an alt or 10 man.

We've taken in about 6 new members since the transfer and the overall spirit of the guild is on the up and up. All-in-all its been a worthwhile choice and the guild is flourishing.

The Expedition Chronicles goes live! It is with a great joy that this reporter writes the announcement of the long awaited news reports from the Christian Expeditionary Force. As the editor and reporters have hammered out the details of how this paper would be operated the reporters have been anxiously waiting to put pen to parchment and record the efforts of these mighty people. For a few years now the Christian Expeditionary Force has been a fellowship of believers that have delved into crisscrossing worlds that have had some things in common but are generally very different from one another.

Their journey has not been without trials and tribulations but they have weathered the storms and come out stronger than before. Now it is our pleasure here at the Chronicle to join them on their journey and get first-hand accounts of their triumphs and defeats.

To the men and women of Christian Expeditionary Force: our goal here at the Chronicle is, to report the truth about your operations, to keep your members informed and update on the current status of your expedition, and to provide some entertainment as your read our pages.

This past week the guild chose almost unanimously to leave our long time home of Nordrassil for our "Promised Land". Throughout the years we've put a good effort towards helping make Nordrassil a better place, but the battle was taking its tole on us.  As more and more players became disenfranchised with the Nordrassil environment it was clear we had to make a change. That change came in the form of a server transfer.

I'd like to take a moment to welcome our newest knights (jr officers), Stephen and Shea. Both have been members of the guild for quite some time now and over the past couple of months have expressed a desire to aid the guild further.  Stephen has picked up the task of putting together a regular newsletter that'll be premiering here on the site in the next couple of days. Shea has stepped up to the plate to help plan some really fun fellowship events. To both of which I am very grateful for their contributions to our group.

One of the complaints common to social guilds is how difficult it can be for new members to find their place amongst friends who have known each other for months or even years. We have been mulling over a solution to this problem for quite awhile now. With the recent restructuring of the guild I felt it was an important step in that restructuring to encourage participation and fellowship not just of our new members but also our veteran members.
